STILL GmbH and Mateco AG from Stuttgart (largest rental company for work platforms) have recently closed a contract to complement each other’s rental ranges with products provided by the respective partner.

The contract came into force on Monday 1st October 2012 and scopes a cooperation in Germany, Poland and Luxemburg. It enables both partners to provide their customers with equipment for rental projects combining forklift trucks, warehouse equipment and work platforms from a single source. Whilst STILL extends its rental range by adding Mateco’s work platforms, Mateco will integrate forklift trucks and warehouse equipment from STILL into its range of rental products.

STILL is a leading full range supplier for intelligent solutions for the internal handling of goods and information. The company from Hamburg implements the intelligent and harmonised interplay of forklift trucks, warehouse equipment, software and services to offer its customers customised internal logistics solutions worldwide. “Our claim is to offer each customer a solution precisely tailored to their individual demand from a single source. In this, the cooperation with Mateco is an important step because in many industries forklift trucks, warehouse equipment and working platforms are combined in a single application.” Bert-Jan Knoef, Chairman of the Management Board at STILL explains one of the fundamental benefits of the partnership with Mateco. Bert-Jan Knoef refers to the media, film and event industry as well as erection of industrial plants or wind energy projects. As most of these projects are temporal, many of the customers in these industries make use of rental solutions.

Already today, Mateco often rents out work platforms in combination with forklift trucks. “We are clearly seeing a growing tendency and we are happy to be able to fall back on the broad product portfolio provided by STILL in the future. This way we will be able to target our offers more precisely to the demand of the customers” explains Armin Rappen, Chairman of the Management Board at Mateco AG.

STILL operates 35 rental stations in Germany alone. Over 6,000 rental trucks in 60 different types are available at all times. Mateco AG has 31 rental stations in Germany offering its customers more than 4,300 work platforms in 400 different versions. This makes Mateco the largest independent rental company for work platforms in Germany. STILL and Mateco will integrate each other’s products in their rental fleets.
